Emmy von Dincklage-Campe (1825–1891)

Dincklage-Campe, Emmy von (dink’läg-ė-käm’pė). A German novelist (1825–91); born at Campe, Osnabrück. Her first novel, ‘The Loving Old Couple,’ was published in 1857. She is called “the poetess of the Ems valley.” Among her novels may be named: ‘The School of the Heart’; ‘Tales of Home’; ‘Pictures of Emsland’; (posthumously) ‘Poems,’ and a story, ‘The Woman Nihilist.’
