François Annibal, Duke d’Estrées (1573–1670)
Estrées, François Annibal, Duke d’ (es-trā’). A French prelate soldier, diplomat, and historical writer; born in 1573; died on May 5, 1670. He wrote ‘Memoirs of the Regency of Marie de’ Medici’ (1666), and similar works of great value in consequence of his participation in the events he narrates.
