Giuseppe Chiarini (1833–1908)

Chiarini, Giuseppe (kā-ä-rē’nē). An Italian poet and critic; born at Arezzo, Aug. 17, 1833; died in 1908. His verse is mostly lyrical, and has been collected under the titles: ‘Poems’ (1874); ‘In Memoriam’ (1875); ‘Lacrymæ’ (1879); etc. He translated some of Heine’s poems, and published critical essays on English and German poets.
