Gustav Karl Otto von Struensee (18031875)
Struensee, Gustav von (Gustav Vom See) (gös’täf vōm sā). A German novelist; born in Greifenberg, Pomerania, Dec. 13, 1803; died at Breslau, Sept. 29, 1875. He gave up law to write the series of romances and novels—notably ‘Rancé,’ ‘The Siege of Rheinfels,’ and ‘The Egoists’—which have given him a name.
