Paalzow, Henrietta Joanna Wach von (päl’zof). A German story-writer; born at Berlin, 1788; died there, 1847. Among her stories are: ‘Godwin Castle’ (3 vols., 1837); ‘Saint-Roche’ (1839); ‘Thomas Tyrnau’ (1842); ‘Jakob von der Nees’ (1842).
