Iacob Negruzzi (18421932)
Negruzzi, Iacob (nā-gröts’ē). A Romanian poet, son of Konstantin; born in Jassy, 1842; died in 1932. He was a member of the Romanian Academy, and founder of the periodical Convorbiri Literare. His volumes of ‘Poems,’ and ‘Copies from Nature,’ the latter made up of sketches and tales, have been widely read.
