John Colin Dunlop (1785–1842)

Dunlop, John Colin. An important Scotch literary historian, son of John; born near Glasgow, 1785; died at Edinburgh in Feb. 1842. His ‘History of Fiction’ (1814) is still valuable. He wrote, besides, a ‘History of Roman Literature’ (1823–28).
