Penn, John. An English miscellaneous writer; born at London, Feb. 22, 1760; died on June 21, 1834. He wrote: ‘The Battle of Eddington, or British Liberty,’ a drama (1792); a volume of ‘Poems’ (1794); ‘Letters on the Drama’ (1796); ‘Virgil’s Fourth Eclogue, with Notes’ (1825).
