Marmette, Joseph. A Canadian prose-writer; born in Montmagny, PQ, Oct. 25, 1844; died in 1895. His published works include: ‘Charles and Eva’ (1868); ‘Chevalier de Momac’ (1873); and ‘The Maccabees of New France’ (1878).
