Hallevi, Jehudah (hä’lā-vē). A Spanish-Jewish poet, physician, astronomer, and mathematician, under the Arabic caliphate; born in Toledo, in 1075?; died at Jerusalem, about 1141. (See Critical and Biographical Introduction).
