Karl Hermann Fröhlich (1821–1898)

Fröhlich, Karl Hermann (frė’liċh). A German juvenile poet and artist; born in Stralsund, April 8, 1821; died at Berlin in 1898. His silhouettes and figures, accompanied by verse, have delighted childhood in two continents. ‘Fables and Tales’ (1853–54), and ‘New Silhouettes and Rhymes’ (1855), are favorites.
