Karl Ludwig Kannegiesser (17811864)
Kannegiesser, Karl Ludwig (kän’ne-gē-ser). A German writer; born at Wendemark, in Altmark, May 9, 1781; died at Berlin, Sept. 14, 1864. He is best known as the translator into German of Chaucer, Beaumont and Fletcher, Byron, Scott, Dante, Madame de Staël, etc.
