Wesselhoeft, Mrs. Lily Foster (Pope) (wes’sel-hoft). An American writer of juvenile stories; born at Dorchester, MA, Oct. 20, 1840; died in 1919. Among her works are: ‘Jerry the Blunderer’; ‘Sparrow the Trump’; ‘Flipwing the Spy’; ‘Old Rough the Miser’; ‘The Winds, the Woods, and the Wanderer’; ‘Frowzle the Runaway’; ‘Laddie, the Master of the House.’
