Carr, Lucien. An American archæologist; born in Missouri, 1829; died on Jan. 27, 1915. He wrote: ‘Mound of the Mississippi Valley’ (1883). ‘Missouri, a Bone of Contention’ (1888); and ‘Prehistoric Remains of Kentucky’ (with Shaler).
