Mary Cholmondeley (1859–1925)

Cholmondeley, Mary (chum’li). An English novelist, born at Hodnet, Shropshire; died in 1925. Among her most widely read stories are: ‘Red Pottage’ (1899); ‘Prisoners’; and ‘Hand on the Latch.’
