Baird, Robert. An American historian and divine; born in Fayette County, PA, Oct. 6, 1798; died at Yonkers, NY, March 15, 1863. Among his works were: ‘History of the Waldenses, Albigenses, and Vaudois’; ‘History of the Temperance Societies’ (1836); ‘Religion in America’ (1844).
