Rudolf Lindau (18291910)
Lindau, Rudolf (lin’dou). A German diplomat and novelist; born at Gardelegen, Oct. 10, 1829; died in 1910. He was for many years engaged in the consular and diplomatic service of Switzerland and Germany. His principal novels are: ‘Robert Ashon’ (1877); ‘Liquidated’ (1877); ‘Good Company’ (1880); ‘The Flirt’ (1894); ‘Silence’ (1895).
