Thomas Keightley (1789–1872)

Keightley, Thomas (kīt’ly). An English writer; born at Newton, Ireland, 1789; died near Erith, Kent, Nov. 4, 1872. He is best known by his ‘Fairy Mythology’ (2 vols., 1828), and ‘Tales and Popular Fictions’ (1834).
