Southerne, Thomas. An English playwright; born in Dublin, 1660; died in 1746. His more notable plays are: ‘The Persian Prince; or, The Loyal Brother’; ‘The Fatal Marriage’ (1694); ‘Sir Anthony Love; or, The Rambling Lady.’
