Xenocles (b. c. Fourth Century B.C.)

Xenocles (zen’o-klēz). A Greek tragic poet; born at Athens, about the fourth century B.C., in the time of Philip of Macedon. Little is known of his life, but he obtained a prize for four plays, ‘Œdipus,’ ‘Lycaon,’ the ‘Bacchantes,’ and ‘Athamas.’
