St. Drostan, Abbot in Scotland

HE was a prince of the royal blood in Scotland, educated under the discipline of the great St. Columba. He was afterwards abbot of Dalcongaile; but in his old age lived a recluse in a forest. He died about the year 809. His sacred remains were deposited in a stone coffin at Aberdeen. See Colgan, ad 11 Jul.  1
