ATTRIBUTION: President FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT.—”This is the latest draft of the President’s proposed speech [for Jefferson Day, April 13, 1945]. The last sentence [quoted above] was written into the typed draft in his own hand. FDR died April 12, 1945.
