A drawing shows a compressor unit and its various parts.
STEP 2
The drawing shows different parts of the compressor unit and a cut-section of the drive end which connects to the engine.
• The compressor's cut section end shows a shaft which has a shaft seal on it.
• A clutch coil surrounds the shaft which has a clutch plate and a hub on top of it.
• A cam rotor is connected to the shaft inside a cylindrical shaped unit.
A piston and cylinder arrangement inside this unit run through a cam rotor running along the squash plate. There's an inlet port on this
cylindrical unit for evaporator to enter into the piston-cylinder arrangement.
The cylinder head has a discharge reed valve and discharge port for the evaporator. There is also a service port on the cylinder head for
servicing of the compressor.
