Different organizations are driven by specific sets of code of ethics, which are used to protect many different aspect of the organizations, specifically the client, counselor, and organization. Concerning the standards of a counselor, their ethics are not only provided by the laws of the state or their practice, but also outside sources who present basic values and regulations of ethical standards in their code of ethics. All forensic scientists are obligated to tell the truth and are not misleading the jury, but there is no single ethical code that applies to all disciplines, but there are two organizations that develop ethical codes for forensic testimony and presentation in the U.S, The American Board of Criminalistics(ABC) and The American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). The ABC code requires each certified member to ¨ensure that the opinions rendered with regard to their analyses are done so only to the extent to be justified by evidence¨ and insure that the testimony is presented clearly (24). The AFFS code states that members can not ¨materially misinterpret data or scientific principles¨ upon which their professional opinion or conclusion is made (24). It states that forensic scientists are not adversaries and should make every effort to uphold the oath of truth. In 2009 there was a study by Brandon L. Garrett and Peter J. Neufeld that explored the ¨the relationship between forensic testimony and convictions ultimately leading to exonerations based upon
Ethics is a word that most described with doing what is right, and to be a company that wants to supply a good or service to people, doing what is right is a quality that company would want to have. One of the first companies that comes to mind when I think about integrity would be United Services Automobile Association also known as USAA. This is an insurance company that has so much to offer other than just insurance like banking services. USAA is a company that started with a noble cause of just wanting to help those who have served this country by providing discounted rates on insurance. When you go to USAA online website, you will find “Service. Loyalty. Honesty. Integrity. Our core values guide everything we do,” and this is literally how every employee under this company’s name serves each one of their customers.
Should a person be allowed autonomy over the safety of public health? Does the CDC have the right to detain an individual based on the safety of the general public when the individual is thought to have a certain illness that has built up a resistance to antibiotics? This means that anyone who comes in contact with this individual could possibly contract the disease that antibiotics can’t fix.
Morals, values, and ethics are one of the most important characteristics of a person. These features define who we are and what we believe in. Many different factors come in to play when determining a person`s morals, values, and ethics; childhood upbringing, later life experiences, family, friends, culture, religious beliefs, race, discussions with others, and many others that have an affect a person’s beliefs (Head, 2006). There are times when a person`s beliefs do not agree with someone else’s, which does not mean that one of these people is wrong, it means that we, as individuals, do not all think the same. As a whole, most people have a good sense of right and wrong, which is to say that for the most part most people have good morals,
A personal code of ethics is a set of ideas and rules that an individual believes in. It varies from person to person as it is typically inspired by their culture, religious beliefs, lifestyle and experiences. Having a personal code of ethics is key for an individual to have as it will keep them grounded and will remind them of what they strive to be when making day-to-day decisions. I am very thankful for this religion assignment for it allowed me to reflect upon my life and come up with rules and morals I live by. While constructing my code of ethics, the only criteria I had in mind is for it to not only be good for others but also myself.
I developed my personal code of ethics by reviewing my life and reflecting on the values I have been taught and what I performed the most. I also remembered the ethics that other people I respect have offered so I adopted them and incorporated those into my daily life. Most of these I have learned to perform because I was educated with a Biblical worldview all my life so the Bible is my foundation for most of these. All of these ethics are utilized in keeping me on the righteous path of life and making sure I am pointed in the right direction.

The American Marketing Association’s (AMA) Statement of Ethics provides a framework for organizations based on the following core ethical values: honesty, responsibility, fairness, respect, transparency, and citizenship. I believe that The Honest Kitchen is a great example of a highly ethical company that embodies every one of these values. The Honest Kitchen sells high-quality, dehydrated food for dogs and cats. They also have several other product lines, including treats and supplements. Their products can be purchased online and at specialty pet food stores that focus on biologically appropriate pet food.
My personal Code of Ethics includes Respect, Integrity, Fairness and Caring. Some situations in life may be subjective, but what matters is making sure the results are fair for all parties. Through the years I have found identifying and setting personal values to be increasingly difficult since the right decisions aren’t always appeasing to all that are involved. Every decision made or not made is definitive of myself, and in believing so removing the need to conform to standards imposed by society.
A code of ethics is a set of written principles regarding conduct and behavior created by the organization to serve as a guide. The purpose of ethical codes is to give its employees, management, and any interested party a reference point that adheres to company policy, standards, and ethical beliefs. The code is made visible to the public to ensure professional integrity, quality, and to prevent misguided conduct. Regardless of the organization or governing body a code serves as a go-to guide because ethical issues can stem from anywhere at any given time. The Code of Ethics for Nurses is so dynamic because as technology changes, so does the code to ensure that updated knowledge is provided to healthcare workers as they address new ethical
