1.1 Explain why physical activity is important to the short and long term health and well being of children.
Physical activity is an integral part of health and well being in children. Our bodies also require physical activity in order to be healthy.Understanding and supporting physical activity, will help children have the right foundation for a healthy and happy life.Positive experiences with physical activity at a young age promotes the growth if strong bones and muscles, help to develop good posture and balance, obesity risk and chronic disease risk infection are reduced.
A long-term health benefit will be that children will have a stronger immune system.Children are less likely to become overweight and will have better

It is important to make the best possible use of space and equipment so the children can enjoy the activities. All children will have equal opportunities to develop movement skills and the environment will be changed to help children practise the mivements skills. When planning physical activity we ensure that no child is excluded from play and activities are modified as necessary.
2.3 Explain the importance of natural outdoor environments for young children's physical activity and movement skills.
Natural outdoor environment has positive effects on children's social development and motor skills development.Outdoor play is less structured so it gives children more opportunity to discover, learn about different textures, sounds and children also gain important physical skills.Children feel more free and they use their whole bodies to explore.Natural environments stimulate children's imagination and engage their sense of curiosity.
Children learn social skills by interacting with other children or even with natural materials found in the environment.Natural outdoor environment help children to question, to cooperate and solve problems.
3.1 Plan opportunities for physical activity for young children.
An effective planning will help children to participate in a safe and supportive environment. To provide good opportunities for children it is important to maintain a balance between
Understand how to plan & provide environments & services that support children & young people’s health & safety.
Children need to experiment outdoors as there is so much to learn. Children can learn in each of the areas and develop their skills. During play children are learning to socialise with each other, playing in small groups and taking turns which builds there confidence up. They also develop their motor skills through playing outdoors, running, jumping, walking and crawling. Children will learn to take risks
The place of the activities should be planned in consideration of the desired outcome. Outdoor environment should be considered whenever possible if the type of the activity and the weather allows it.
2. It is also important for parents establish a routine of physical fitness into the child’s life. You could go for walk, go hiking, bike riding, or got them involved in sports at your local YMCA. If physical activity is not a part of the family’s life, it may be difficult for the child to pick up these habits and could be just an ongoing issue that gets passed on through generations.
This will impact on a child or young person’s intellectual development as they will be more alert and ready to learn, physical activity is also likely to encourage social and emotional development as schools will provide sports clubs and after school activities, giving children and young people the opportunity to socialise and progress in self-esteem.
Physical activity is important to the short term and long term health and well being of children. In the short term physical activity helps children to build muscle, develops the skeletal frame, develops the heart and lung function and helps to prevent obesity. If children have enough physical activity a day which is said to be up to an hour it can help the children get to sleep easier and for longer periods of time, this can then lead onto long term benefits as if the activity is in the garden it will also help the child to build up a good immune system so they will be less likely to fall ill to the common cold or the flu. This outdoor environment helps the over all wellbeing of the children as the outdoors makes them
Physical activity also has benefits for children's social and emotional development and cognitive development. These benefits include being part of a team and making friends through group sports, which have a major impact on social and emotional development. The effect of obesity on children is closely linked to many bad health habits such as diet, smoking and drug use which in turn can affect a child's academic performance (Goran et al., 1999). Physical activity, if encouraged at a young age, can reduce the likelihood of children developing these behaviours and focus on their academic performance and cognitive development. As children in this age range are in their fundamental development stage, it is important that educators and parents alike, teach children about the importance of physical activity at a young age in order to prevent health and social well-being problems in their adult years.
Exercise is physical activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness, but it is not limited to simply physical maintenance it can help in mental elasticity. As a small child is developing the brain is still in midst development. You can almost think of the brain as a muscle, but it is not directly exercised. Yet, in the process of playing games or simple activity can sharpen puzzle solving skill and elasticity for children. It still works for older people, but in age the brain becomes less elastic making the best time to give puzzle skills and general increased connectivity is while still a child. Then again one needs not forget the physical fitness aspect of exercises in increasing the longevity and quality of life. Then again it is no better time to form good habits then as a young child, it always seems to stick in long-term memory easier and longer when trained into it. Exercise also benefits cardiovascular fitness leading to less heart disease in old age. I always see one of the most annoying things in my mind “ I’ll exercise tomorrow” that there in essence why many people this day and age have a increase chance of heart disease and obesity. One does not need to set time aside to exercise. Exercise can be and can take place any place any were just be active. Like waiting in line in the store just standing there, why not do calf raises not as if anyone really cares I have done it countless times. This was the basic aspect I tried to convey to the kids and it is
Physical activity is the ability to perform the different characteristics of sports and professions for the sake of a person’s health and well-being. Physical activity can include walking, running, swimming and etc. Exercise would be considered a type of physical activity. It is known to be excellent for a person mentally and physically. It keeps a person’s heart and lungs healthy and overall lets he or she have an everlasting life. So therefore children need to be educated on physical activity and why it is essential in our lives. After learning and studying about the what could possibly happen to a person if he or she is not active, I became worried and started motivating and educating my little sister on the different types of physical activities to do. It was not something that she wanted to do but it was something she
In 2008, 30.2% of youth ages 6 to 12 were active to a healthy level through sports(“Facts”). This shows that some kids are getting the minimum amount of physical activity. To raise this level, all kids should include sports in their daily life. All kids should be engaged in sports. Regular activity is required for good health and high school athletes are more likely to attend college.

During the early childhood period, environments should be organized to promote motor development. During toddlerhood the environment should be organized to allow the toddler space to explore and move. Confining the child to a limited space such as a playpen could result in a delay in their large motor skills. (Charlesworth, 2004) The environment for the preschooler should be conducive to learning these skills. Adequate outdoor play time should be allotted for the children to have the opportunity to run, jump, throw balls, and other activities to strengthen the large muscles.
The benefits of implementing physical activity into the curriculum of students’ are not only a valuable asset to the students’ health and well being, but also to their learning development. Physical activity promotes healthy growth and development of the cardio respiratory system, enabling oxygen to travel throughout their bodies helping with healthy muscle and bone growth in children. Physical activity also promotes social health benefits in children giving them more confidence and vital social skills development “Our Bodies and our brains are adapted to regular exercise, and they do not function well without it” (Aamodt, S & Wang, S 2011 Pg 136). Physical activity is beneficial for a variety of problems. Importantly, an increase of physical activity can promote good health. Although it may seem trivial to not worry about health during childhood, doing so can lead to a healthier future. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, physical activity can lower the chance of having diseases found in adults such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes. Particularly in young individuals, physical activity aids in healthy bone, muscle and psychological development. In order to reap these benefits, school should provide a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity ranging from moderate to vigorous during each school day (Koplan, Liverman, Kraak).
Exercising is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. It can help you maintain a healthy weight and keep certain ailments and illnesses at bay. The best way to ensure you exercise regularly is to get excited and used to it from an early on. As parents, it’s important to teach and encourage your children to exercise as soon as possible.
