Introduction: The twelve pairs of cranial nerves are components of the peripheral nervous system. These nerves are numbered from I to XII. The twelve cranial nerves in order are olfactory, optic, oculomotor, trochlear, trigeminal, abducens, facial, vestibulocochlear, glossopharyngeal, vagus, accessory, and hypoglossal nerves.
