At the end of this and other textbooks, there usually is an index that lists the pages where a certain word appears. In this problem, you will create an index for a text but, instead of page number, you will use the line numbers.
You will implement function index() that takes as input the name of a text file and a list of words. For every word in the list, your function will find the lines in the text file where the word occurs and print the corresponding line numbers (where the numbering starts at 1). You should open and read the file only once
Create the python function as part of a python program. The data required for the function should be created in the python program and passed to the function.

In C++, my program reads from a file, each line of the text file ends in a 1 or 0. How do you make a function that updates the value in the text file to change to from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1?
Write a C++ program that reads first name and last name from two txt files, input1.txt and input2.txt respectively and stores them in two separate arrays. Then merges these two arrays into another txt file output.txt.
Example:
Intput1.txt: Markus
Input2.txt: Stocker
Output.txt: Markus Stocker

- This is Python Program 5: Improve the file copy program from Lab 9 so that it will make sure the user enters a file that exists. If a file doesn’t exist, the open function will raise the FileNotFoundError. You do not need to check if the destination exists since a file doesn’t need to exist to write it. Instead of copying the content of the source as exact, it only copies non-empty lines and it also prepend each line with a line number. A line is empty if the length of the line stripped of white space from both end is 0. The code segment below shows how to strip white space and getting the length of the string. If the length of the line is zero, the line is a blank line. line1 = " " line2 = " aa " print(len(line1.strip())) # 0 print(len(line2.strip())) # 2 In the sample run, “add.py” is the source file and “add-copy.py” is the destination file. Note that “add-copy.py” contains only non-blank lines from “add.py” and each line in “add-copy.py” is labelled with a line number. Your program should first ask the user for the name of the file and then count the number of individual words and characters (including numbers and punctuation) in the file. The word and character count result should be printed on the screen. Furthermore, your program should count the number of individual words starting with the letter 'A', 'B', 'C' and so on to 'Z'. Again, these statistics should be printed on the screen. Your program should display the letter that appears at the start of most words. The program must be written in C. You should illustrate the operation of your program by generating a text file containing 3 sentences from a lead news story on the day of testing.arrow_forward

The program should output the data in table format such that the data of each student is displayed on one line. The data of the students is ordered in the table alphabatically according to their names. The last column in the table contains the average grade of each student. The last row in the table contains the maximum grade in each subject. Notice that the width of the first column in the table is 20 and its is aligned to the left. All remaining columns have width of 7 and their data is aligned to the right. Also Notice, that all the numbers in the table must be displayed with exactly two decimal digits. IMPORTANT NOTES . - pls code in pythonplagiarism: This Boolean function takes two filenames. If any line occurs in both files, return True.If not, return False. I suggest using nested loops. With nested loops, we call the loop that is in thebody of the other loop, the "inner loop". The loop that contains the inner loop is the "outer loop". Openthe second file inside the outer loop:for line1 in file1:file2 = open(fname2)for line2 in file2:Python only lets you read the file once per open, so you need this order of instructions. Make sure yourreturn False is outside of both loops. Otherwise, you will only compare the first two lines of thefiles. Make sure you close the file that gets read repeatedly after the inner loop but still inside the outerloop. Here is some (more complete) pseudocode to get you started:open file 1for line1 in file 1open file 2for line2 in file 2:if line1 == line2:return Trueclose file 2return Falsearrow_forwardWrite a program in C++ that creates a file and writes data into that file column wise.
