Introduction: Degeneration of neurotransmitters and mood regulation are the normal functions of MAOA (Monoamine oxidase type A). Mutated MAOA produces a protein, which is unable to degenerate the neurotransmitters. The mutated MAOA is associated with increased aggressiveness.
