Chapter 2, Problem 22RQE
Program Plan Intro

Pseudocode:

  • Pseudocode is the informal, text based description of the operations in the program or an algorithm.
  • Pseudocode is platform independent which means that the pseudocode can run in any operating system such as Windows, IOS or Linux. This feature makes it easy for the user to run and understand the code.
  • It includes the structural details of normal programming language but excludes the details required to make it understandable by machine rather it focuses on making it understandable by humans.
  • It is used in books which deals with algorithm design and also becomes the basic structure while developing a computer program.
  • While writing a pseudocode it is necessary that the vocabulary used in the pseudocode should explain the problem statement in details rather than explaining the implementation details.

Forms of pseudocode:

  • High level pseudocode:
    • High level pseudocode is the list of steps that should be performed in the program.
  • Detailed pseudocode:
    • Detailed pseudocode is the expanded version of high level pseudocode.
    • It mentions all the details like the mathematical operations which are not mentioned in high level pseudocode.

Last question, Coding done in Python. Math Quiz Design a program that gives simple math quizzes. The program should display two random numbers that are to be added, such as: 247 + 129 The program should allow the student to enter the answer. If the answer is correct, a message of congratulations should be displayed. If the answer is incorrect, a message showing the correct answer should be displayed. All coding done in Python.
Population Tracker   Learning Objective: Using Python Repetition and Loop Statements   Problem Description   Write a Python program (Console and GUI) that predicts the approximate size of a population of organisms.   The application should use text boxes to allow the user to enter the following information:   starting number of organisms,  the average daily population increase (as a percentage), and  the number of days the organisms will be left to multiply.  For example, assume the user enters the following values:    Starting number of organisms: 2  Average daily increase: 30%  Number of days to multiply: 10 The program should display the following table of data
