Question
Chapter 21, Problem 7RQ
Summary Introduction
The preliminary treatment or the primary treatment of wastewater is performed which includes the screening and the sedimentation process. After the primary treatment, the water undergoes secondary treatment which includes the aerobic and anaerobic degradation of water. After the secondary level, the water is disinfected using chlorine and discharged from the plant. The waste water is treated to ensure the safe drinking of water and to eliminate the harmful pathogens.
