Explanation of Solution
Assets allocation:
- Assume the following,
- Let “A” be the points allocated to Ann.
- Let “B” be the points allocated to Ben.
- Let “Rt” be the fraction of the “retirement” property given to Ann.
- Let “H” be the fraction of the “home” property given to Ann.
- Let “S” be the fraction of the “summer cottage” property given to Ann.
- Let “I” be the fraction of the “investments” property given to Ann.
- Let “Mis” be the fraction of the “miscellaneous assets” property given to Ann...
Explanation of Solution
Problem:
- To divide the properties between Ann and Ben, without any contradiction, the fraction of assets should be considered.
