Introduction:
The ecological pyramid is a graphical representation showing trophic levels in an ecosystem as stacked blocks, with primary producers at the bottom and high-level consumers at the top. These pyramids are used to represent the number, biomass, or energy in the entire ecosystem. The size of the blocks corresponds to the biomass, energy, or number of organisms at that level. Generally, the energy and productivity decrease with each trophic level.
