Question
Chapter 25.3, Problem 10BYGO
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The gastric mucosa contains numerous pocks named as gastric pits that are lined with columnar epithelial cells. At the bottom of every gastric pit, the tubular glands (2 or 3) open and extend to the remaining part of the lamina propria, which are the pyloric and cardial zone; they are known as pyloric and cardial glands in the remaining of the stomach named as gastric glands. These glands collectively consist of five types of cells but differ in its cellular composition.
