Chapter 49.2, Problem 1R
Summary Introduction
To review:
Trace the circulation of blood in fishes.
Introduction:
The cardiovascular system or circulatory system transports various materials such as nutrients, oxygen, hormones, and cells from one parts of organ to another part within the body. It consists of organs such as heart, blood, and blood vessels. In the closed circulatory system, the blood is pumped to all the body parts by a muscular organ called the heart. The heart consists of chambers. The upper chamber is called the atrium and the lower chamber is known as the ventricle.
