Determine the total estimated cost at completion and estimated cost to complete for the project in Problem 14, assuming the CPI remains the same through the remainder of the job.
The ACWP at the end of the second week for the project in Problem 12 is $37,900. Determine the CPI for the project.
A project consists of three tasks. Task A is scheduled to begin at the start of Week 1 and finish at the end of Week 3. Task B is scheduled to begin at the start of Week 1 and finish at the end of Week 2. Task C is scheduled to begin at the start of Week 2 and end at the end of Week 3. The budgeted cost for Task A is $22,000, for Task B is $17,000, and for Task C is $15,000. At the end of the second week, Task A is 65% complete, Task B is 95% complete, and Task C is 60% complete. What is the SPI for the project at the end of the second week?

Costs expected for these categories for the coming year are as follows: Maintenance - P100,000; Inspection - P150,000. The plant currently applies overhead using direct labor hours and expected capacity of 50,000 direct labor hours. The following data have been assembled for use in developing a bid for a proposed job: (refer to image) Total expected machine hours for all jobs during the year is 25,000, and the total expected number of inspections is 1,500.Using activity-based costing and the appropriate activity drivers, the total cost of the potential job would be * Nimet malerials Direcd lubor Mechine houre Number of inspections Niret labor hours P1 C00 P4.000 600 800 O a. - A work element takes 20 hours of labor of a technician. Currently, the technician makes $22.50 per hour. For this project, the overhead charges are 72% of the direct labor charges and 10% personal time was assumed for this work element. a. What would be total direct labor cost to complete the work element? b. What would be the total overhead cost to complete the work element? c. What would be the total personal time cost to complete the work element?arrow_forwardWhite Consulting, a real estate consulting firm, specializes in advising companies on potential new plant sites. The firm uses a job cost system with a predetermined indirect cost allocation rate computed as a percentage of expected direct labor costs. At the beginning of the year, managing partner Kenna White prepared the following plan, or budget, for the year: Direct labor hours (professionals). . . . 16,000 hours Direct labor costs (professionals). . . . $2,350,000 Office rent. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $220,000 Support staff salaries. . . . . . . . . . . . . $940,000 Utilities. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $350,000 Tibbs Resources is inviting several consulting firms to bid for work. - Spin Cycle Architecture uses three activity pools to apply overhead to its projects. Each activity has a cost driver used to allocate the overhead costs to the projects. The activities and related overhead costs are as follows: initial concept formation $40,000, design $300,000, and construction oversight $100,000.
