Interpretation:

A form of Planck’s distribution which is appropriate for short wavelengths has to be found.

Concept introduction:

A black body is an object which absorbs and emits electromagnetic radiations of all wavelengths.  At each temperature the wavelength is maximum when the intensity is maximum.  The Wien’s law for a black body relates the maximum wavelength with the temperature.

The constants $a$ and $b$ of Wien’s empirical formula has to be determined.
