Introduction:
In the given study, a pickle (pkl) mutation is present in Arabidopsis thaliana plant. This mutation results in the retention of embryonic tissue in the primary root meristem. It was observed that on exposure to gibberellins the mutant root tissue does not spontaneously generate new embryos, which were earlier capable of growing into new plants.
