All three religions believe and worship the same God but they do it in different ways. Judaism happens to be the oldest religion today but they don’t have an official creed. They aim to teach you about God, the Messiah, human beings, and the universe which makes Jewish beliefs very important to them. But it is important to understand that being Jewish is more of a race and culture than it is a religion. Some Jewish people may have no interest in Judaism. Judaism has some similar beliefs with Islam and Christianity but they are more different then similar. Islam is the second largest religion in the world and they have 1.2 billion adherents. All of the adherents know about the “five pillars “of Islam which represent the framework for a responsible and good life. Islamic people believe that they are here on earth as God’s servants to create a moral social order. They believe it’s all a test for humans to prove if they can choose from right and wrong and make good decisions. There isn’t a certain sin not to do, it’s just trying not to fall under the temptations of all the bad things in life and God will be with you as long as you are attempting to be good and stay on the correct path. Christianity shows their faith differently than the other 2, they like to do baptisms when you are a baby or when you become Christian and become a believer. They like to have Sunday gatherings and read scriptures from the bible and have group prayer and singing.

The primary similarity between Judaism and Christianity is based on the notion that they regard sin as a rebellion. They affirm that God, through his word, has made his will well-known to all people. Thus, it is a sin to live contrary to this set will of God and there are consequences. Judaism and Christianity is a monotheistic religion. "Judaism is a diverse tradition associated with the Jewish people", and Jesus is a Jew. Many people insist Judaism is the foundation of Christianity because Christianity originated from Judaism (when God showed himself to Abraham and Moses), but not an expansion of Judaism. This two religions, both refer to Jesus Christ, even though his role in each religion differs. The Jews refer to God as Yahweh (“I am who I am”) while the Christians refer to him as God. They have the same origin, believe that Abraham was the father of faith and Moses received the Ten Commandments. Both religions relate in faith and the scripture they share, but as much as they associate, they also have differences.

While key differences about Christianity and Judaism seem similar by their historical circumstances, they are also different. Both religions started in the Middle east but in different places at different times. Christianity started in Bethlehem when Jesus was born in 4 B.C.E. However Judaism originated in Ancient Palestine around 1812 B.C.E. Though the religions were founded in the same place, they were founded at different times. Along with being founded at different places, both religions have different founders. Abraham founded Judaism by accepting the convent of God.

The religions Judaism and Christianity are two of the five major belief systems. Some of the similarities they share are: they are both monotheist, believe in the afterlife, and they share the old Testament in their Holy Book. Some of their differences include: the Jews believe that Jesus isn't a divine being and the Christians believe that Jesus was the Messiah, and their holy ceremonies are guided by Rabbis, for the Jews, and Priest, for the Christians.

Both religions believe in one god, or are referenced as monotheistic. The only other religion like these two is the Islamic religion of the Muslims who worship their one god “Allah.” Judaism or the Jewish peoples god is named “YHWH” is known as the Tetragrammaton. The Christian’s god name is “Jesus.” On a daily basis Jewish are supposed to pray 3 times a day morning, afternoon, and evening. Christians pray whenever they want to.

The most overarching similarity between Christianity and Judaism is that they focus on almost the same god. Their god is unique, transcendental, not subject to the rules of nature, all good, all powerful, all knowing and the one true god. The major difference between the Christian version of this god and the Jewish version of this god is that the Christian version is considered to be three “persons,” otherwise known as the trinity. The trinity consists of God the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, sometimes referred to as the Holy Ghost. Judaism does not believe in this trinity and instead sees God as one being.

Judaism and Christianity may be completely different religions, but they along with many differences there are many similarities between the religions. Religions may vary from culture to culture, but mostly all are based on the same principle; that there is something greater than us that we all should believe in. Being that this is such a widespread belief, you would think that all religions would have some kind of common ground especially when it comes to two of the oldest and most significant religions in existence today. The major difference among them arise, not solely from their different historical experiences, but from their basic beliefs and the way the religion is focused and viewed. These differences help to shape individuals characters, values, and help them to focus the views of their beliefs of understanding their own religious world around them.      The similarities between Christianity and Judaism are numerous. For example, both Jews and Christians believe in monotheism, the faith in one god. Furthermore, both religions worship the same God, although they name Him differently. The Christian name for God is Jehovah, while the Jews’ is Yahweh. This is because Christianity was derived from Judaism.

While in Judaism there is a ceremony that is the acceptance of the religion called Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Although the whole process is different from the Christian confirmation both are processes where teenagers are becoming a part of the religion. In Bar/Bat Mitzvah a boy, who is 13, or a girl, who is 12, become responsible for their own actions and make their own religious path. These are just a few of the similarities of these two very similar religions, but the religions also have differences. Judaism, doesn’t believe in the New Testament of the Bible, while Christians believe in the New Testament, which consists of Jesus’s teachings, and have it as the part of their holy text. Another example of a difference is the way the process of acceptance into the religion. Bar/Bat Mitzvah had different ages for different genders and was a lot more specific about what the acceptance meant. While Confirmation is teenagers who wants to become a Christian and become part of the religion. From these examples one can tell that the religions are very similar and different in many different ways. Not only is Judaism similar and different to Christianity but also another religion founded in the Arabian Peninsula.

Islam and Judaism, very alike, but very different religions. These religions are both monotheistic religions, meaning that they believe in one God. In Islam, followers know him by Allah, and Jews know him by YHWH. They are religions that consist of similar and different beliefs, and other aspects. The people that follow Islam and Judaism believe in different texts, have different perspectives of women, and have different “denominations” in which people are divided.
