Introduction:
Viruses are diverse both in terms of their structures and the type of genome present in them. They can contain DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) or RNA (ribonucleic acid) as their genetic material. DNA and RNA genome can be single stranded or double stranded. These differences give rise to different requirements for the completion of the viral replication cycle.
