You are studying the effects of climate change on the Arctic ice sheet. You have collected data at several locations on different dates. The data is stored in the matrix Ice. Each row of Ice contains the measurements made on a specific date. Each column of Ice contains the measurements made at a specific location. You may assume that Ice contains at least two rows and at least two columns, but may be considerably larger in either or both dimensions. As part of analyzing this data, write a single MATLAB command to achieve each goal below. The results from each step may be used in subsequent steps as necessary. HINT: Use help or doc to learn more about the functions mean and min.
a. Place the number of rows in Ice in the variable Dates and the number of columns in Ice in the variable Locs.
b. Add another row at the bottom of Ice that contains the averages of the values (ice thicknesses) in the corresponding columns.
c. Add another column on the right side of the modified matrix Ice that contains the averages of the values (ice thicknesses) in the corresponding rows. Note that after this step, the lower right corner value will be an overall average of all data in the original matrix.
d. Add another column on the right side of the modified matrix Ice that contains the minimum of the values (ice thicknesses) in the corresponding rows. Note that after this step, the lower right corner value will be the minimum of the average values that were added as a new bottom row in the second step above.
