Taxonomic Hierarchy or the Linnaean hierarchy has been introduced by Linnaeus. This hierarchy is composed of a sequence of categories in a decreasing order from domain to species or increasing order from species to domain. Domain is the highest rank followed by kingdom, division, class, order, family, genus and species.
