Introduction:
Urea cycle is the process of producing urea by certain biochemical reactions. It is also known as the ornithine cycle. It was discovered by HansKrebs and KurtHenseleit. Thus, it is also called as KrebsHenseleit cycle or Krebs urea cycle. It involves the conversion of highly toxic ammonia into urea, which is later excreted from the body. It occurs primarily in the liver.
