(a) Glucogenic
(b) Ketogenic
(c) N-acetyl glutamate
(d) Hyperammonemia
(e) BH4
Introduction:
The catabolism of amino acids generally beginswith the removal of amino groups. The removed amino groups can be then disposed of by the mechanism of urea synthesi, shich occurs in the liver of an organism. Urea is a highly toxic molecule that needs to be excreted out by certain excretory mechanisms. Amino acid catabolism involves processes like deamination, urea synthesis, and others.
